Invisible Display brings more information to the environment, allowing one to look at their schedule at a glance without loading an app or switching a browser tab.

The Invisible Display is a 7.5-inch electronic ink calendar with a hand-finished wooden frame, made by Invisible Computers, a small hardware and software company based in Germany. The display connects to Google Calendar via a mobile app and refreshes every five seconds, showing the current schedule without notifications, sounds, or backlit glare.

Invisible Computer uses a simple app to allow for easy configuration of information.

Light

Electronic ink renders information at ambient light levels, which means the calendar reads like paper on the wall rather than a screen competing for attention.

Customers can also design custom content for the display through the app. The frame ships in a configuration that mounts on a wall or stands on a desk, drawing power from a six-foot USB-A cable.

Attention and Periphery

If a meeting pops up, you will see it on the calendar. And on Monday morning, it gives you a feel for the week: Which days are busy? When will there be time to dive deep? Maybe let's block some time on Wednesday?

The device syncs with existing calendar apps, keeping household or office schedules current without requiring anyone to update a physical planner. The 800 x 480 resolution display shows a week at a glance, letting a quick look answer scheduling questions without opening a phone or laptop.

Durability

You can point the display at a server on your own network instead of Invisible Computer's. No account is needed. The protocol is two HTTP endpoints, published with a working server to start from: github.com/Invisible-Computers/local-render-server
