Calm Tech Institute is very excited to announce the certification of the Mudita Kompakt. It is the very first phone that we’ve Calm Tech Certified™, and it achieved Platinum Certification.
It’s no secret that we live in a world where technology rarely lets us rest. Notifications, glowing screens, and the pressure of being constantly connected have made it difficult to find moments of true calm.
Platinum Tier is the Institute's highest level of recognition, reserved for products that meet the strictest requirements for creating technology that supports human well-being.
The Kompakt is a phone that doesn’t try to take your attention. First, it’s made with E Ink, which makes it difficult to watch short form video content.
E Ink makes for a different experience than a traditional smartphone. It makes it difficult to watch short form content, it doesn't emit bright blue light, ensuring circadian rhythms are not disrupted before bed. Finally, it makes for a grayscale operating system experience, meaning that bright colors aren't constantly attracting the eye when the phone is at rest in the environment.
